In-House Tooling & Prototype Capabilities
Tooling & Prototyping
From concept to custom tooling to production-ready parts — all under one roof.
OUR TOOLING & PROTOTYPING CAPABILITIES
Our dedicated tool room allows us to design, build, and maintain custom tooling and fixtures without relying on outside vendors. This means faster project launches, quicker modifications, and tighter cost control throughout production. Whether you need custom bend dies, weld fixtures, press tooling, or check gauges, our experienced toolmakers handle it all in-house.
Custom Tooling
Die design & build, forming & stamping dies, weld fixtures, jigs, checking aids, tool maintenance & repair
Fixture Fabrication
Welding fixtures for consistent assemblies, bending fixtures & mandrels, assembly jigs for repeatable production, press die modifications & repairs, custom workholding solutions
Prototyping Services
Single-piece & small-run prototypes, validate fit form & function before full production, rapid tooling setup for fast first articles, design-for-manufacturability feedback, seamless transition from prototype to production

Fixture Design & Build
We design and fabricate custom fixtures in-house to support every stage of production. From weld fixtures that ensure consistent assemblies to check gauges that verify part accuracy, our tool room builds what your project demands — no outsourcing required.
CNC Machining
Our machining capabilities support both tooling production and part modification. With 2 CNC machines, a Bridgeport vertical mill, lathe, and Carlton 4ft radial arm drill press, we handle everything from custom die components to precision fixture plates.
From Concept to Production
Our in-house tooling and prototyping capabilities mean your project stays under one roof from start to finish — no coordinating between vendors, no delays, no surprises.
6 STEPS.
0 OUTSOURCING.
1 FACILITY.
-
Send us your drawings, CAD files, or even a sketch. Our team will review your project requirements and provide a detailed quote.
-
We evaluate feasibility, tooling requirements, and material selection. If we see opportunities to improve manufacturability or reduce cost, we'll let you know.
-
Our in-house tool room designs and fabricates custom tooling, fixtures, and dies specific to your project. No outsourcing, no waiting on third parties.
-
We produce prototype quantities so you can verify fit, form, and function before committing to full production. Adjustments are made quickly with tooling right on-site.
-
Once you approve the prototypes, we transition directly into production. Same tooling, same facility, same quality team.
-
Parts are produced under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system, inspected, packaged, and shipped throughout the US and Canada.
When you partner with ABTP, you're working with a team that brings over 100 years of combined manufacturing experience to every project.
As an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, we maintain rigorous quality standards from quote to delivery. Our in-house tooling capabilities mean we can develop custom solutions quickly, reducing lead times and keeping your production on schedule.
As a family-owned business, we deliver the personalized service and attention to detail that larger shops simply can't match—without sacrificing capacity or capability.
